This is the first time I can ever remember that I didnt want the outgoing year to leave. I liked 2012, it was good for me.
Here's hoping 2013 is at least as good as..........

Exact opposite for me. 3 months left on my non-compete & I might actually get to work where I live in 2013. In any case, I'm happy for 2012 to be history.
I'm glad 2012 is over. Terrible year for me.

Not boasting and not trying to top dog anyone. 2012 had to be in my top 3. Unrealistic to expect two in a row, so I'll take whatever the good lord gives me. Or whoever it is that gives out all that stuff.
And I'm even coming to grips that just perhaps socialism might be slightly tolerable ....

Thanks! 2012 was pretty much a banner year for me. Had some seriously bad points to it but I can thankfully say that all the good stuff really outshined the bad stuff. I'd truly be ecstatic if 2013 was as good. I hope all here have a great and prosperous 2013!
I do but it's complicated. For the past two years I've been working what's called a "set". Actually, I have two different sets, one in Dayton, OH & one in Louisville, KY.
A set is where you pay a royalty to a well established local company to use their name after a storm. It's really the only ethical way to chase a storm since when I
pack up & leave, the local company will honor all of the warranties that I issued.
I haven't sold a new job in either market since October (by choice) & I have nothing left to do but collect my A/R. After that, I'll be unemployed.

You have your own crew that goes with you or do you hire locals?
The crews travel with me & so do the salesmen, etc. I hire a local office staff but that's it.

No wonder you're venting through your cars the way you do. We all do it.
My Cousin does the same thing putting top coatings on concrete floors. From meat and food processing plants to water parks to grocery stores and even Lambeau Field. Does a lot of work in Wisconsin and a lot around the country. He works very hard! His phone rings from 6am to 10pm 7 days a week. Even when he was on vacation with me for the last 10 days.

I hate when vacationing , or just out having a beer for that matter, with someone and they are still taking work related calls and with wifey being every other call. Throw the effen phone in a lead vault with a time-release opening for petesakes.
Can't make mortgage payments or have nice toys without taking those calls...

As much as you got, it doesn't appeal to me. In my life, I had to shut it off the second I punched out until the second I punched back in. In between, the earth could have exploded and I didn't have to answer to master.
