With truly serious $h!# going on around the world that IS significant, all ya got to do is worry about a LOGO??? Really?
I think that is exactly the point and it makes me wonder. If FCA US products sell well, why bother with the logo? All the new signs, letterings, stationery, business cards, websites, brochures, etc... to change it all in order to eradicate the Pentastar will cost a LOT of money. And to what particular benefit will that be? Will just one FCA vehicle be sold more because the Pentastar is gone? Surely not.
I think it was just some scheme pulled of by some executive whose brother-in-law runs a design agency and he convinced some other executive that a new logo is just what the doctor ordered for the corporation, or else all sales will drop to zero because of the old, old logo... plus the world would be flung into outer space.
Anyway, I bet that silly "FCA" script made some agency or designer a lot richer.
