A tough one indeed, but hink I have to put Christmas over Carlisle. I love Halloween. Kicks off the.holiday season. Next stop...Turkey day. Christmas lights and trees.go.up the.next day after Turkey day.

I gave up on the outdoor stuff. While you guys are outside in the cold taking them down I am keeping warm, inside laughing at you.

New years day and Independence day come in ahead of Halloween and Thanksgiving.

Wow, I think I dated that blue chick once...!

I live in a rural area, so I haven't seen a trick-or-treater in 16 years. Don't really miss the kids ringing the bell, either. BUT, a friend of my wife is a self-professed witch, and puts on a hell of a Halloween party! We're going to her party for a while, then to an event a local radio station is putting on a bit later. So, Friday night is going to be pretty festive. I dig zombies, and I really don't have to do a lot to make myself look like a convincing walking dead flesh-eater; so that will be me. My wife always figures something weird and unique to go as, so I'll see hers Friday. Should be fun!

There's an old.abandoned Victorian type house near the NJ turnpike but further back in the woods that is proported to be haunted by previous owner (old women and her cats) who lived way back in the day. She died in the house and her family kept her remains in the basement until the.funeral.which was.held in the parlor room (supposedly...I wasn't there). There's going to be seances there on devils eve (mischief night) and on Halloween. Thinking about going just for shits.and giggles.

One of my favorite things about Halloween besides the candy.

I'm still trying to figure out when Halloween became a National holiday where the celebration starts Labor Day and is overlapped by Christmas displays staring in mid-October...

The roots of "all Hallows eve" go way back into history, I read sometime ago.
