Thanks buddy. I don't know if it will be in those or not I'd think it would probably would be in a FSM. I appreciate you looking.
Found it in the FSM. Page 23-8 if you're curious.
It's called the "Shelf Trim Panel".

Thanks. I appreciate your looking and posting the image.

I do notice it doesn't have the drop down between the rear seats depicted.

I have not idea why there is not a common name known among Mopar people for this particular part. I'm a little surprised as I've searched all kinds of names and cannot locate one on google image search no matter what I type.

What is the plastic vent or speaker grill or fascia called?

The parts book calls it rear seatback trim.

I believe it's called a package tray

Cheers

Ken

Nope. The package tray is separate. The curvy thingy that wraps over the top of the seat back overlays the package tray.

I've heard it called a "package tray cover" before.
Most people will know what you mean if you just say "package tray".

Thanks Stan.

Stan is right it's not the package tray at all. I'm hoping for a name that I can search for one.

Haven't been able to find one by searching google. It's like a fascia or Vent grill, or of speaker cover or pretty thing

Any of the experts out there know what it's actually called? Maybe listed in a FSM or something if someone has a 67 or 68 Fast top

I think I have the official answer:

The '67 parts manual calls it "rear shroud." I neglected to write down the part #'s.
(Let me know if you want them, I'll be back to the shop tomorrow)
Although "pretty thing" sounds more fun.

I found it in section 23-Body, Chrysler 300 interior view illustration.

Only used in bucket seat interiors.

Here's one on eBay if you're looking:

Upper Rear Seat Trim 2dr 1967 68 2dr FSTBK Chrysler Plymouth Dodge 68CT1 4R4 X | eBay

Hope the input helps.

Thanks John. You found it and the pics in the ad even show part number PN 2876951

In that ad the seller says no cracks then shows cracks with his pencil They look easy enough to repair though with a plastic welding kit

I would be interested to know what part number is listed. It is often different than the casting number on the item.

The trim we're talking about is not the panel.
That doesn't even come close to looking like the part we are talking about.
That shows the piece that lays on top of the entire shelf.

Oh, really?
Looks pretty similar to me.
Of course it won't look the same though, it's a drawing from a service manual.
I would like to see a picture from the parts manual, seeing how i'm having trouble finding it in there.
The holes in the drawing from the service manual and the one off Mary have the holes in the same spot. What am I missing?

Yours is a 66.
The 67 & 68's used the the trim that overlayed the shelf.

Seeing as Bryan showed a pic from the 68, that's what my replies have been in reference to.

On the bottom row of the fender tag. The number 5 is the code for a automatic. If it was a 4-speed car then the code would be a 3
Thanks for taking the time to answer rarefish!! As for the rest of ya.......meh....

I started a new thread with pics and part numbers here:

'67-'68 2DHT Package shelf trim and Rear seat back shroud explained | For C Bodies Only Classic Mopar Forum

I think it explains everything pretty well.

Too pricey for a car that is not an original 4 spd.
I agree, $20k would allow someone to be high bidder on a nice genuine 4-speed car if they were willing to wait and search. Perhaps an owner of such a 4-speed car might not want to sell for $20k, but, well, if someone is offering you 20 for a C-body you really should consider that perhaps that's the top dollar.
