Head lights, turn signals

Hi
I am trying to get the things checked and fixed, for a 1965 plymouth fury 111
when headlights are on, signals wont even come on, when lights are off they work, the left turn signal is rusted up and i might have to replace it, bulb rusted up inside socket.
has anyone have an idea of what to check.
any help will be greatly appreciated.

do you mean the turn signals or the running lights? on my 69 the front running lights go out when the headlights are on. just the way it was made.

its the turning signal front and back, headlights on turn signals wont work.

I would unplug one or both front signal lights and retest. If the sockets are as rusted as you say, you could have a short between the park and signal circuits at the bulb. The other thing possible is a short within the bulb itself. I once had a bulb element break and attach itself to the other element. Caused some weird issues there.
Anyway, check those front signal lights.
