Head rebuild what brand valves should I use?

I messaged the shop about my 516 heads and what valves he is gonna use. (I thought ferrea)
He said: iron heads i would use an SBI or a SI replacement valve

Am I wasting my time and money here? I'm really sick of Chinese junk, is that what these brands are?

If the valves you have now look good and the stems aren't worn at all or bent, you might be better off to use them. They're probably better than anything you can replace them with, if you're on a budget. Just a thought - unless your car/engine is going to be on the track a lot or ran really hard every time you're driving it, I don't think new valves would benefit you. A valve job or maybe just lapping them in would be all you'd need for a good seal.
