Headlight switch gone bad ?

Hi Everyone,

Had my 65 Newport out last night. Wanted to turn on interior light. Rotated knob, felt it click but no lights came on.

Here's what I noted.

All exterior lights work.
Dash lights work, ashtrays too. Adjustment for dimming works.
Maplight is ok using switch on dash.
Interior lights work at door jamb switches.
I did notice when I rotate knob on headlight switch to "interior" position the dash lights go off.

Also won't work with headlights in off and just turning to turn on interior lights.

So is the switch bad seeing as everything works but that ? Minor issue but I have fixed every other gremlin that came along and want this one gone too !

Sounds like bad or dirty contacts in the dome lamp circuit. Clean or replace the switch.

I figured, cleaned it when I got car out of it's coma, sat about 30 in not so good storage. NOS switch on the way
