And the beach trip wouldn’t be this year, no vacation time left. Told the family that if we go to the beach next year this car is coming. Need some maintenance work before I take it on an extended trip

Yes, Poppy (my Polara 'vert) was at Carlisle this year and last. I plan to take her there again next year, and it'd be great if you could make it as well with your FF8!

I will be at Carlisle next year, not to sure about the Polara. The 1970 Charger registry is trying to get as many 70 chargers there for the 50th anniversary and I was planning on taking the Purple one in my avatar.

@polara71 is THE source when it comes to 1970 Polara convertibles. AFAIK, he has compiled the world's largest dataset re: all the surviving Polara 'verts of that model year (as well as quite a few dead ones). That information set includes fender tags, photos, stories, plus what's in his own memory yet is not in hard copy.

Dave was kind enough to share the information he already had gathered back in 2008 on the Yahoo Polara board, and several of us have been adding to it since then (as he has, of course). However, since the original dataset is his, I haven't posted any info that I have not gathered from independent sources -- credit where it's due etc.

There is an informal registry of 1970 C-body ragtops here. However, it is (very) far from complete -- to wit, neither your nor Ryan's tags are in there.
