Hi folks.

I'm from Germany and absolutely new in all this. My English is not so good, but I hope it is good enough to understand me ;)
I joined the forum because I am looking for a project car.
I am looking specially for a 1969 Imperial 2dr Hardtop. This will be my first classic car, so I do not have much experience with it… until now!

Julian

Hi,

enjoy and have fun. 69-71 Imperial 2drs are rare and hard to find. Most of them are either junk (condition 5 or less) and nearly unrestoreable due to hard to find parts/materials or nice and expensive.

Good luck in your search

Carsten

Welcome to the set from the Motor City!

I know, these are hard to find. Condition is a problem, yes. I do not necessarily want a rust bucket, because I'm going to do everything by myself. But it should be a Project...

What price range are you shopping in?

...Especially because my price range is round about 4-5 grand.

Since I've heard it can cost up to $6,000 to import them I think you will be hard pressed to find anything in that price range or do you actually have $10,000 to start with?

Wilkommen!

Welcome again!! Forgive my German!

Steve

4-5 grand in USD for just buying the car or in total?
If your budget in total is 5k EUR : forget it and continue to save money

Please keep the native language to PM's
Thanks for your cooperation.

Question was if I also would take a Fury. But, No i am specially searching for a 1969 Imperial, maybe 1970, but only if there is a good deal. I Like the details of the '69 model.
About the Money question: I can spend round about 5,000$ for the car itself. I have the posibility of parking it in my cousins garage until i ship it. So there is no pressure.
The shipping itself is not that expensive. With tax in Germany and all the port charges i have to pay ~2000€ (2600$) from port to port. Thats ok.

$5,000.00 US will easily get you a nice project car I think. Bet it won't take more than a month. I'll be interested in what you look at.

Yep, just keep your eyes on this site and one will come along at some point.

I hope so! It needs a lot of time until i have it on German streets. :(

I permanently Pinned 3 Tabs in Chrome. This Site, ebay Motors and TotalCraigsearch.com to get the full overview!

3 Weeks ago, there was an interesting candidate on Craigslist with a Video on youtube.

But when i call him, he already sold it to a guy in Florida...

Here is a super rare 1970 Imperial Crown Coupe for sale in Canada. Not mine, I just ran across it. They only made 247 Crown Coupes in 1970...last year for the Imperial Crown.

Thank you!

But if i'm right, the crown was the "low budget" version of the LeBaron. I prefer a as fully as possible equipped car than a rare car.

Well, with 4,572 cars, the LeBaron is not realy a mass production, but i hope a have a chance to own one of these! :)
