Hey guys! Some good news for a change. I was asked by Hemmings to submit some pics of my 73 Newport Navajo for consideration for their Concours Show in September and just got word today that the car was selected to be part of the show. What a thrill. I attended the show last year with a friend who had a 68 Imperial with 28000 original miles and what fun we had. There are some beautiful cars in that show. I especially liked the late 50's Imperial convertibles that attended. Talk about breathtaking!!!! So I am looking forward to that roadtrip and will supply some pics upon my return. It is about time the fuselage cars get some respect! Just to let you know this show is of course open to all makes and models of cars - not just Chrysler corp and in fact there are usually very few mopars in attendance but look forward to looking at all the cars.Updates to follow!

That is great news, congrats!!!

How does that happen? How did Hemmings know you had the car?

May of had a representative looking for cars at Carlisle?

excellent!! I would love to get to that show, always say it and never do it... thats an honor and your car is worthy of it

I was surprised it didn't win something at Carlisle. It's a very nice car.

I'd be surprised if Hemmings ever had a Formal at the Concours.

They don't know I exist.
To be fair, Hemmings isn't into any of The Malaise Era big cars. Including GM and Ford.
The attraction of the last of the dynosaurs (mid-seventies and up) is only recently getting more interest as they are finally getting old enough where to most people they only have very distant memories of. Let's face it, for me it was my grandfather's DeSoto, my father's
61 Fairlane, etc...
