Hey,

I have some trouble figuring this one out. I want to install a switch in the dash for the horn (the grant adaptor gave up and i aint buying a new one)

So...i have the switch, cut the black wire on the connector on the column (figured this is the one going to the little wheel on the steeringwheel since its the only black one).

Wired this one to the switch and the other side of switch to ground. Push switch....nothing :BangHead:

I thought the hornswitch is just a breaker for the black ground wire. The black wire dosent have power on it down by the connector. However, the horn relay has 12v on the violet wire.

Am im thinking that wrong????

The way you've wired it should be right.

I'd check the horns first by jumping a wire to the battery. Get that question out of the way.

Next I would check the relay. You've already checked for voltage at the positive terminal, so jump the ground terminal to a good ground.

After that... I'd say you got a bum new switch or a bad ground that you are connecting to.

....relay shot, still worked 3 days ago. Thanks for the advice!

To the grant aftermarket hub: the turn signal return thingy made contact with the pin with the wheel and would honk on its own, also the wheel ground off the copper from the humhub cause it was right at the edge of it. Just plain out annoying.

If everything else Fails I recommend this sticker. ;)
