Matt, there's a ton of historical architectural homes in Milwaukee that you check out. It's all over the city and huge on Lake Shore Drive.

Another of my favorite architect's is Fredrick Law Olmsted. He did a lot of landscape design. He designed the Milwaukee Public Parks System, designed the White City expo at the World's Fair in Chicago in 1892, and designed Central Park in NYC, Emerald Necklace in Boston, and a lot of other great things.

One summer, I made it a project of mine to walk the whole Emerald Necklace. Absolutely breathtaking if you could look beyond the developement built right up to and on it.

Lake Shore Park in Milwaukee is beautiful...you can do so much there, within 3 feet of the sand of Lake Michigan. Very cool for cruising too.

Some relatives have a cottage up in Wisconsin I once stayed, just don't remember the area right now. Was a house within farm land with next neighbor half a mile away or so. Wish there would be some kind of place like that over here I could get a hold of.

Most of Wisconsin is still like that. Thousand of places to buy right now. I saw a lot of rural areas in Southern Bavaria when I was there. Just beautiful!!!
