I've been busy grinding on teeth...when the smoke cleared... and then this 2 door came available...so...

I don't want to spike the football until I'm over the goal line(how many times have you seen that failure move)...got to get her home first...

When's that happening?
soon I hope...using same transport company for Old Red...but, that whole transport cat and mouse game is nuts...I'm moving the 59 Chebbie out of middle stall so it should be coming straight home to house this time.

I think you've outgrown your house...lol. you're gonna need something on a few acres with a nice shop.

They're real beauties... you should be able to get some strong money for them! All the more Imperial's to buy then...

Congrats!! Love those buckets! When do we get to hear the whole story and see the outside?
I better get it on my driveway first...might jinx it if I don't have it in my possession first? Transport has to pick it up when the seller is home and get it to Minnesota unscathed...like, please don't roll the trailer in a ditch or something, etc...My first Imperial just missed being burned crispy by 2 weeks in that Illinois fire last year...so I'm on edge until I see it here...I will post some pics and a video (doing figure-eights) in a school parking lot, right?

Doc, you're gonna need a lift (or two) in your garage at the rate you're buying up all the good ones.
If that the same car that recently sold, you've bought a beauty.
It only goes to show you, if you keep track of "the one that got away" you might luck out getting the car anyway.
Being persistent does pay off for those willing to work for it.

Thanks. I'll share more later about it. To be honest I didn't see this one on the radar until it was picked up last year by the seller I contacted. The story is it was used primarily by the deceased original owner for vacation trips and was stored since he passed in 1986 or so...and the most recent owner went through and fixed the stuff that gets damaged from sitting awhile, gas tank, tires, exhaust, brakes, window motors, etc...the Auto temp doesn't work and I could care less...sounds like I'm getting it with a power steering leak...it has a couple door dings from being parked next to a daily driver in garage for years...so some unknowns I'm sure to find out later.

P.S. I am getting all the Chebbies ready for sale...the 59 is getting picked up on a trailer today. I'm making room for red Imperials. I've had Chebbies along time...but, I'm ready to let them go to another caretaker. Lots a great memories.

AutoTemps never lasted long on these because the base always cracked from engine heat. If you wanted the AC fixed, there is an option using the same Servo unit used in Mercedes Benz of the same era, which has a metal base. Not cheap though, around $800/$900 last time I checked.
The seal might be bad on your PS pump, but it could be just a loose hose too. I just picked up a Federal PS pump at a swap meet a couple weeks ago. The pulley on mine is bent. I'm thinking it had to fall on the floor at some point when the engine was apart, so its getting replaced. Even with the bent pulley, I never had a problem with the belt coming on while in operation.
