How many of you 440 powered C body owners take your rides on road trips?

Yes the small primaries make a big difference in fuel economy. But the TQ is great carb, it can be adjusted and fine tuned so many different ways. The new Street Demon carb by Barry Grant is just a modern interpretation of the old TQ. The reason most people don't like TQ's is that it does take a lot to set them up, but once done properly your car will start, and run, like it has throttle body injection...at least in my opinion.

I have just been on a road trip with my 69 300.
440,auto, 2,76 gears with 235/70/15 tires.
Got 13mpg while driving the interstate with 80-90 mph

Hey Carsten, how far and where did you go? On holiday? Pictures?
 
just came back on friday from california. Jumped in the 300 saturday morning and went to a show in Hamburg and back which is a 800km (500 miles) round trip. I can post pics later on
