Any idea if the shipping costs of a car from Europe to the states would be much different?
I can't say I've ever seen any coming back this way once it's gone overseas.

I don't think we will see cars come back in significant numbers until there is a substatial economic offset.
It seems some are coming in from Canada due to the current offset in US favor.

I also believe in us we have some cultural differences that prevent us from stepping up to the pay window. Our materialistic lifestyles have us diluted by our myriad of belongings.

Many of us on this page several cars. If we were the type of people to be content with one car we would probably willing to pay more. Then again if we were not hoarding them they might also not cost so much!

because here, C bodies are more than rare under 10k euros.

Every once in a while a good opportunity pops up on this side of the pond, if you search really well and act fast.
Of course, those will be cars with at least some work, and if you do not have the space, time, tools, $$ and knowledge to do a substantial part of that work yourself, you are way better off spending the extra $$ on a better car.

For example, this one was for sale in the NL last august for 7,5K:

And sold within a week.

And this one in the UK sold a year ago for about 12k if I remember well.

For Sale - NOT MINE 69 300 coupe (UK)

Actually, you don't need to log in:

Close to my home as well; I might even go and take a look if I have the opportunity.
I already have a pretty good idea of what the asking price will be, but since the seller is obiously lurking here, I'll keep my mouth shut.
