The guy sent me a zillion pics. He gave away this car!

check the auction.
2.400$
Not a real sniper with 14 seconds to go to the end

Whatever I bid on EBAY or in person, I set my limits. If it is sold to someone else than I can blame no one but myself. Sometimes it will lead to second guessing if you are not the sucessful bidder but, gather all the information you can and bid within what you can afford.

AND remember, whether it is a car or even a Woman.......there are plenty more out there if this one does not work out.

It will show up again when he flips the car. He was bidding on Ford, Chrysler, Jaguar, Mercury and Cadillac.

thats the part that pisses you off, hope your timing improves on the next one Stan.[/QUOTEI]

I set my limit at 2501. But stupid me, I wasn't at home on my desktop so I had to try at get a last minute bid on my cell phone. Never rely on a cell phone if you mean business.
I am not heart broken. Just smarter.

I'll jump in and play the bidding war game on minor items on ebay..... Or use the BIN option.

But if I want to place a serious bid and have a chance.... then I use e-snype.
Like Pete says..... Know your limit and place it as a proxy.

totally agree. I used to get pissed off at snipers then decided to join them. I've not lost a bid since, totally worth the fee.

That's all good info I'm going to write down that link just incase my dream car that I can't live without shows up on eBay why be limited.

That sounds like a 1% fee - which in an auction world might not be too bad for something you really want.
I've been using the service for 10 years now. I first bought 2000 points for $20.00 and never did run out.... I just purchased another 2000 about 3 years ago and still have over 1400 points left and I use it a lot.
It's the only way i'll bid on an auction. Keeps me out of the bidding wars.

I don't think there is a point charged against you for any winning bids under $25.00... And no points if you do not win the auction.

Interesting.
I'm still a little confused on buying these points thingies.
If I was really wanting a, let's say, a $7,500.00 car, how many pts. do I need to buy?
Secondly, If Iwin the car luckily at $6,000.00, how much did it cost me?

So I went out and checked their FAQ: It looks like the maximum transaction price is $10?

How much does eSnipe cost??
eSnipe is free to new users for limited time. After the trial period, eSnipe only charges if you win an auction, even if you lost because your bid was too low. When you do win the cost is 25 cents for items up to US$24.99, 1% of the winning amount for items up to US$1,000 (rounded down to the nearest penny), and a maximum of $10 thereafter. So if you win an item for $47, the fee is 47 cents. If you win an item for $230.58, the fee is $2.30. eSnipe fees are in BidPoints, which you can buy in quantity for discounts. For more details, please visit our BidPoints Official Rules page.

It didn't answer my two specific questions...
