Old Man with a Hat
They are laminated placemats with some old favorite drivers and cars. backside is all their stats up to 77/80.
I'll have them at Carlisle so start saving up.
Remember when Plymouth would get kicked out of NASCAR because they beat everyone?
The Dodge Charger Daytona was the first car to break 200 mph (321 kph) in a NASCAR race and ended up winning so many races that NASCAR banned it and its sibling, the Plymouth Road Runner Super BirdThat never happened.

NASCAR and the NHRA both never blatantly ban anything, unless it a blaten rule breaker. They just handicap the crap out of them
Guess NASCAR does not give a crap about the FCA revenue. They will be out of business in 10 years anyway unless someone with a brain steps in to run it. The NHRA is just a dumb bully, when they decide something there is no amount of argument that changes their mind. When Nitromethane became popular they went on a fuel ban and almost lost their ***. When the Hemi dominated Pro stock, rules that teams and manufacturers agreed to and presented to the NHRA to create another pro class. By the second season they completely changed the rules to make the SBC a frontrunner (original rules were to a 500" limit and production bodies). When Bob Glidden began to dominate first in a small Ford then a small Chrysler then back in a Ford again suddenly small blocks we're factored up and out. Currently there is no one running anything but a Chevrolet in Pro stock. 5 years ago it had diversity, 6-7 years ago it had anyone could win. No move has been made to control Chevrolet domination of Pro Stock. All done in the intent of creating a level playing field. Nothing has ever been banned, just rule changes to even the completion. A good thing. It's still a constant issue but was much more prevalent back in the day of the aero cars and the hemi.
It's a business. Let one competitor dominate and the others will stop coming. Result ... loss of revenue
WOW..... This thread went downhill. From a post about cool vintage NASCAR collectables to a opinionated rant about the sport......?
My fault. Sorry about that. It just brought to mind the days when Mopar was kicking a**. I'm sure it helped their sales a lot.
Sorry Will, you have some cool stuff I will be checking out at Carlisle.WOW..... This thread went downhill. From a post about cool vintage NASCAR collectables to a opinionated rant about the sport......?
