I tried the hole punch like that and it just didn’t make a nice enough button, it wasn’t professional enough looking for me. The button needs to be chrome all the way around and along the sides. a smooth polished machine look could work.Was looking at this thread again and of all things got fixated on the shiny metal tach center source problem. I'm thinking this Deluxe Disc Cutter & Doming Set should work on house aluminum flashing. Using the conical disc cutters.

There is a cheaper one too. I also wouldn't be surprised if a whole punch meant for paper would work and then sand and appropriate sized dowel to a cone and use it to form the disc.
