We are assuming its a 318 because he said so. Mark is correct in his statement however and I like it either way. I love that blue interior, the whole car is sharp, especially with the cornering lights.
i think it is canadian.......for one thing, it has the spring special trim, did not come out til feb-mar of 1969, but it has no headrests........which were standard on american market cars starting on Jan 1 ,1969.
power steering, power disc brakes, cornering lights, fender mounted signals, bumper guards, Deluxe 8 hole wheel covers, I am unfamiliar with that steering wheel but it is an upgrade..... 318? Alright, whos calling for a tag photo?
steering wheel is the optional tilt/w partial horn ring.
and i already emailed to ask for a tag pic..........strange how they'd order these options but only the base 318. should have A14 on the tag (spr special) unless that was standard on canadian cars. i just cant see it being a US car with that and no headrests. but the interior looks original.
I have never seen the black/blue vinyl as a original color on the seats of that era. The pattern is different than U.S. or Canadian dealer photos. I suspect someone spent alot of money to have them re-done to include the side panels. If the car was $6000 tops it might sell if all else is as presented in the description.
I'm unsure of those pics are from a '70 or a '71. I can tell you that our new '71 Monaco, built in Windsor and equipped with a 318, had door panels like the ones in the top (US) picture.
That 69 Canadian has the 69 Sport Fury interior (US version, door panels and seats). That steering wheel is only used with the tilt/tele steering column. See that steering wheel in a lot of the Imperials. My 69 Sport Fury has that steering wheel.
