I wont be posting things here any more for a while I need a break I am 1 of those who cannot stand a thief . We forward lookers work very hard to get what we want and some scumbag decides to take it from us and it makes me really angry . If you want some thing get off your lazy *** and work for it do not take from some one else because you ( the thief) might end up trying to take from the wrong person and if the owner does harm to you I have no sympathy for you( the thief ). If the law is called and by the time they get there the thief will be gone unless the property owner decides to hold the thief at gunpoint until the law arrives So this will be my last post for a while . I keep my cars locked in the garage .I know of some one who had a 1970 cuda the car was stolen . I was told by the friend of the owner . 1 day the owner of the cuda and a friend seen the thieves and his cuda was on the car trailer . The owner ran the thieves off the road caused them to wreck their car the owner of the cuda got on the trailer unloaded his car and took off with it, I told a tow truck driver who used to be a corrections officer about it and he told me what the owner of the cuda did was legal When the thieves came by his house and try to reclaim the car he had a german shepherd and sicced the dog on them.

Robbery sucks: Meth heads got some of mine. These and a 1958 Cameo and a 1966 Amphicar. The 1972 C/10 is still out there, but being 'watched' by the cops. 2 methheads in jail now. Going to prison is what I hear.

There are a lot of "ifs" in your statement. We're not sure what happened, but you seem upset. Perhaps if you could explain what went on, you could save others the same grief? There are lots of crappy people in this world, why distance yourself from like minded folks on this site?

Here's exactly what happened.

I posted that her (and others) talking about brandishing a gun, warning shots, and saying (on social media) what they would do if they encountered a robber could bite them hard if something does happen.

It was a lot of stupid bravado that doesn't belong on a car forum to begin with. It hurts the folks, like me, that are responsible 2A supporters and CCW holders. The thread was removed, probably a very wise thing to do by the administration here.

Nothing more than people with" internet muscles" talking about things they would do here that they never have and never will do in real life.

I was looking up crime and population stats for Minor Hill, TN. Very low population (about 500), almost 100% caucasian, crime seems to be very low, usually no vehicle thefts in any given year, or maybe 1 every few years. Theft / burglary is also low or zero for any given year.

Her fuse was lit by a one word response to her "pop a cap in them comment" which led some to come to her defense.
Others responded to those of the stupidity of doing that, not that they ever would, by pointing out the laws regarding such action.

Several people pointed out why it was a bad idea to take the law into their own hands, not that in the real world any of them would have.

I thoroughly enjoy watching the Youtube channel Active Self Protection. Group of knowledgeable guys that do a great job of breaking down armed encounter videos of both citizen on citizen or law enforcement on citizen videos. They point out the both good and bad points of the encounters and I have learned a lot from watching their videos. I suggest other give them a watch if you want to increase your odds of making it through a violent encounter with both your life and legally speaking.

I'm a longtime fan of Massad Ayoob's books and videos. He has some serious experience and gives great legal advice.

yes it does it happened to me at a store in Florida . I had my '57 plymouth at the time and of the robber stolen that I would of said this to my manager and DM if any thing happens to my car and they do not catch that robber I am holding this company liable. He did not take it I know why because 1 a car like that is easy to spot and every cop in Palm Bay would of known who that car belonged to I almost told my manager either someone else is in this store with me or I am keeping heat behind the counter I guess there are some who want to get cash the easy way instead of working for it I even told the robber take the money and get the f--- out of here
