Awesome purchase Bob. There isn't a better looking sedan anywhere on the planet these days. It just yells "bad ***"!
Enjoy it immensely!!!

You lucky guy. I thought you were going to buy one earlier, but you ended up with the RAM. I'm hopeful you'll drive it the way it is built for.
I only have driven 70 miles so far. I did have a Mustang and a Camaro kind of chase up to me. We pulled up to a stoplight and when it turned green they were hesitant to chase any longer. I'm taking it easy and following the break in procedure.
Congrats Bob... but I wanted to see the NYB... screw it, I'll be happy to see you at Carlisle...
By now, they know their place - losers if they try!
Dodge's performance strategy and tough looks has kept their sedans alive in the marketplace while the other U.S. manufacturers have dropped most of their sedans due to low sales volumes/no profits. But Dodge Charger and the Chrysler 300 are still kicking. And they are very sturdy, quality cars. I still think it takes plenty of engineering know how to release such street monsters to the public and they will still take the abuse and keep coming back for more. That really impresses me.
Giving the engine at least 500 miles breakin is probably a good idea and the owners' manual stresses that too. I wouldn't be surprised that they are tracking how it is being broken in by monitoring and recording the performance parameters encountered in that first 500 miles in the on-board computer so if you go in for warranty work later, they can reference the data to either approve or not approve a powertrain related repair needed later on.
But given how well you take care of your cars, e.g. your former Chrysler 300, I am sure you are doing what they want. I would buy any car you sell without any questions asked sight unseen right away if I needed another one and it was available. I agree that they will make money off of a jewel like that one.
You have been through a lot, and you deserve a treat like that black beauty.

I pulled the trigger on a 2019 Scat Pack Charger. 6.4L hemi with a line lock and launch control. 8 speed torqueflite. It runs 12.6 seconds @ 115 mph in the quarter mile. I traded the 300C in on it.

Awesome car. I test drove one just like it last summer but didn't get it. Just don't get any tickets in it lol.
I kinda like the little yellow scrapers, I’d leave them on.
That's been the problem at Carlisle. All the newer stuff people own they rather drive in comfort and fuel economy than in the old ride. Which has led to the decline of pre 1980 stuff on the field .
FYI, even my wife mocks those that leave the yellow strips on the nose. Half think they belong on there and the other half thinks they help.
