Still trying to tackle a few issues on my ‘65 Imperial so I appreciate everyone’s inputs on everything so far. My imperial had been neglected by the previous owner for many years, and the car is actually missing the idler arm bushing. I have nothing to reference it with when it comes to the original, but it seems all the idler arm bushings for a ‘65 Imperial are longer than the hole where the bushing should go. Is it normal for the bushing to be longer than the hole on the idler arm for where the bushing goes?

Look at where it bolts to the frame. That is the length of the bushing.
