If I ever...

Found this last night on the way to the bank to pull out additional cash for a potential purchase today. Totally out of the clear blue, or dark as it were because it was 9pm.

Made the deal this morning, and left quite the wad of cash for me to replace almost everything I can think of I'd want to replace. 02 4x4 $2K.

Rockauto here I come.

Yay me.

Amazing how you bust your balls scratching the dirt and **** like this falls out of the sky. Nice 'rango.

Amazing find, actually. A first gen in VG condition. Congratulations.

It's not all bubble gum and unicorn farts. But it's ticky tacky nit picky ****. Brakes are warped. Not biggy, my '98 did it often. Needs shocks, my preference as i don't like the ones on it. I think one of the valve covers leaks.

Biggest issue I have is an unknown antifreeze leak, not bad but I'm just not sure where it's coming from yet. Pump looks dry, thermostat housing looks dry, upper hose doesn't look like it leaks, it's being changed regardless based on the known issues with them. So I'm hunting that. Drivers seat has some tears in it.

Outside of that it's pretty good.

Mystery leak found. Thermostat housing, bottom. I think the monkey doing the work before over torqued the housing. I loosened up a bit until I got a good stream going then started to tighten until it stopped. Turned the leak into a weep.

So I'll look for a new housing just to be on the safe side.

Nah, double up on the gasket.
Cheaper.

Manifold gaskets leaking yet?

Nope. All good there. Old man that moved down here from PA owned it. Seemed nicely well off. I think he just got tired of nickle/dime stuff. He had a brand new Black 300c that he said replaced the Durango. And in his spot I'd do the same thing. Dump it rather than fix it then dump it.
