ignition coil condenser

Changed my old coil to MSD Blaster 2... my ´69 chrysler 300 is having stock ignition system. While doing that noticed that old coil + terminal got two wires... second wire was mounted into condenser and in coil bracket. Do I still need this second wire with condenser because MSD instructions did not say anything about that.

I was led to believe that internal condensers were to prevent the points from burning out and the external condenser was merely radio static suppression.
