Found you an Imperial hauler. You can take two with you
That’s cool.. if “management” wasn’t such a ball buster, I’d be on that like a fat kid on a cupcake..Found you an Imperial hauler. You can take two with you

Sorry... it's a ruined, useless piece of art... if it was a truck, it would have a suspension that was capable of keeping the frame off the ground in the event of a failure. That’s cool.. if “management” wasn’t such a ball buster, I’d be on that like a fat kid on a cupcake..
Airbags you old timer!Sorry... it's a ruined, useless piece of art... if it was a truck, it would have a suspension that was capable of keeping the frame off the ground in the event of a failure.
I don't even mind saying that I hope the builder/owner get sued into destitution if it ever does fail, because they deserve to be if they allow that thing to operate under it's own power on the street... let alone carrying a load.
The shame is, if it was built just a little smarter, it could have still been a usable rig.
I think his point is what if the airbags fail.Airbags you old timer! All the kids are doing it nowadays.
Take all my fun away! They have them on how many trucks for towing duty? I haven't dug deep into the subject, but was talking to my stepson about that last year, about the same load I was thinking of hauling, and they would have been fine. But as I said, I don't know enough about them, probably never will as my plans faded away.I think his point is what if the airbags fail.

But you can't be cool with airbags if you're practical with them, gotta put that nose on the ground! It's the lowrider trend I never understood, ok, one of them, but as @cantflip said, it useless art. Maybe put car on it so it looks legit to the average Joe.The truck in question is sitting on the ground, ideally you'd probably want some bumps stops to keep at least an inch of rolling clearance.

The relief cuts in the deck to allow the rear to "lay frame" are also unfortunate... I envision your load being driven into the cab on rough road surfacesBut you can't be cool with airbags if you're practical with them, gotta put that nose on the ground! Good luck...I've been looking casually since last year to get a RAM to pull the Imperials as needed. Wifey said she will get serious and took charge and found this pre-owned (2016) one today at local dealership. Young salesman didn't know what an Imperial was...But, nice enough to call us if this one doesn't sell tomorrow. Apparently, a noon appointment with a potential buyer. I wanted it...But, will have to be patient...There's other ones on lot...However, all diesels...At least we got the ball rolling...build a relationship with the salesman...maybe get a call if another one rolls in...sounds like this one has a tow package... can handle 12,000 lbs.
