I finally got to have one of my Imperials at Chryslers at Carlisle in 2024. It was a great show but the Imperial turn out was not as great as I thought it would be. I was the only 72 Imperial and the only other fuselage Imperial was a dark blue 73.

2025 is supposed to be a great show because of the 100th anniversary for Chrysler. I would like to maybe see if there can be more turn out for Imperials. It’s a shame they get pushed away from the other C-bodies, but I know not all Imperials are C-bodies.

I am planning on this year being better than last year. Personally, I wish I could bring all 3 of mine but the other two don’t run anymore.

I was walking the swap meet more than anything. I was too busy to take any pics worth sharing. None worth while of the Imperials since it was only 4 cars, one of which I see every day.

I been to Carlisle for the past 6 years and I probably seen 5 or 6 Imperials, but not that many like you said. I agree that it would be nice to see more in the Imperial row, but there have been a couple I’ve seen in the c-body row as well though. I’m trying to have Ed do a “60 years of the c-body” display in 2025, maybe reach out and ask if they would like to do an Imperial display. Or maybe put an ad in one of the mopar magazines to try and persuade people to show up, otherwise I can’t think of any other options.

Any contact info? That would be awesome. I feel like the Imperials are under represented. Many people, I’m sure feel like there is not much interest in Imperials because the A, B and E bodies have been fully embraced by the hobby. I think that if everyone would make the effort to come out with their car it would be amazing and prove common thinking wrong.

Yeah, maybe I do intend to make waves. It should be forward progress in the hobby, almost like a “raising awareness” thing. 1969, they made appx. 20,000 Charger R/Ts. 1972 they made about 16,000 Imperials. Most likely more Chargers survived so rarity now is probably more than twice as the Charger.

Happy New Year! Yes I do have information, I will PM it to you. Thats how I feel about the c-bodies that they are under represented and under appreciated, and is why I’m asking for a repeat of a 2016 c-body celebration. Whether it happens… is a big maybe and a different story.

On a fecebook Monaco/Polara group, I asked if anyone was going to Carlisle, only 1 person responded and said yes.

I'd like to go, I'll work towards it, should have the car ready by then. I had it there once before - in '97.

I was looking at the registration / payment page, they ask if you have club affiliation, they have a drop-down list, I didn't see anything relevant to me or C-bodies in general. Otherwise I guess you just register by class. I think the Imperials are in their own class, then several C-body classes (set up by year). I'm guessing they'll allocate parking based on the classes, and group them together that way? Does anyone know how that works?

Probably too late for that.

Good luck ..

I will be there this year with my 77 T&C wagon and my 85 GLH Turbo omni. I really want to snag either a fuselage or formal Imperial one of these day to add to the collection....but will have to wait til the right car/price finds me.
