@Tobias74 recently sold me a car and arranged for the cross-border procedure. The car came quickly.
As long as the paperwork is done right, it should go smoothly. In my case, the DMV did not give me the provisional title because the seller’s main residence and the car’s registration were not in the same province—so it has to be done manually and I have temp plates while the verifications proceed.

4 years ago I got my '77 NYB in Ontario into the US (Buffalo). I went over the Border Passport in hand, purchsed the vehicle.went to Motor vehicle dept. in St. Catherines. The guy I bought the car from met me over there and he did all the documentation for me while I waited in the lobby. We parted company, I stopped at a friends place on the way back to the Border, he followed me to border and customs. It took about 20 minutes total including wait time. All told it was a good experience! Of course it was a pain in the *** getting it liscenced in Iowa....They didn't trust the documentation from Canada, but I prevailed!
Is not easy anymore since the border is closed

Tobias74: Just wondering: Did anybody ever see or hear anymore about that '74 Imperial up in the Grand Prarie area? It was grey with blue interior.

I believe the best method is to get a broker to handle it. It will be hassle free if you get it done that way. If you try to do it yourself and miss one thing you will have nothing but headaches. A reputable shipping company can handle it for you as part of the shipping price.
I've moved two cars the other way (US to Canada). The first time I used a broker, the second time I did it all myself. I agree that with the current situation, going through a broker would be best thing to do right now. There's no idea how long the buyer will have to wait for the border to open up to get the car. With a broker, I believe you should be able to get the car shipped across.
