Inlet, outlet hose on 73 dodge polara custom with 318

Hello. If I'm not mistaken this is inlet n outlet vacuum line. Can any one tell me where they pose to run to or have a vacuum photo or diagram for 73 dodge polara custom with 318. Do it rolun to the carb. Have vacuum lines off that need to be hooked up. Thanks

The pictured item is the temperature control valve that mounts on the cowl to sense ambient air temperature in the plenum, and opens at a specific temperature to bleed off vacuum in the ported vacuum control system or the venturi vacuum control system, in the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system, depending on which is equipped on the vehicle. When triggered at lower temperatures, it reduces the recycle rate in these systems to improve driveability.

The upper fitting has a foam filter to filter the incoming air bleed. The one in your picture has remnants of the filter on the fitting. The lower fitting connects to the specific control system.

The temperature control valve connects to the specific control system as follows:

1) Ported Vacuum Control: The temperature control valve ties into the ported vacuum control system via a tee to the EGR valve and carburetor vacuum port. The following image shows this connection:

2) Venturi Vacuum Control: The temperature control valve ties into venturi vacuum control system controlled EGR system via the vacuum amplifier. The lower fitting connects to the vacuum amplifier with a vacuum hose as part of the molded multi-port connector. The following two images shows this connection:
