Introduction of 1971MonacoGuy

I passed on several Monacos because they weren't Polaras. I thought of "cloning" for a second.....I couldn't do it

With the amount of people in this state there should be more on this board from here.
Interesting how many are on Facebook and not here

Welcome, my first C body was a 71 Monaco coupe. Sadly I sold it a couple years back when I was made an offer I couldn't refuse. It recently popped up and some photos of it are posted under Car shows, Red deer. Regarding the 1-2% remaining, I would think more like 5-10%? But that's based on nothing really. Either way you may want to consider a modified car at the right price and correct it. Or... and I can't believe I'm typing this, you could clone a Polara! AHHGH! Good luck with the door panels!
LOL no cloning! If or when I find a 71 (or 70) Monaco 2dr I hope it will be as stock as can be. High mileage won't bother me, a little correctable rust won't bother me. Dull paint, no problem. I can deal with all that for the sake of originality. An interior in piss poor shape WILL bother me. It's get difficult (for me) to try and properly restore interior items or if they need replacing then trying to find NOS items at reasonable prices. But I've got a few other C bodies on my "to buy" list IF I never find a 71 or 70 Monaco. I really like the 72 Fury III 4 dr hardtop, the 71 New Yorker 2 dr and 4 dr hardtop, 69-71 300 2 and 4 dr hardtop. No convertibles. I've never been too much of a fan of convertibles of any make or model. I'm strictly a hardtop guy!
