I would have to look, but it's whatever tires I had on it in 1985. I know they are in poor shape tread wise. I am putting Cragar SS wheels and Mickey Thompson tires on it, so it will look like it did when I drove it in high school. I will post a pic when I get home

Hello from Minnesota! Great looking car you have and very cool it has been in the family since new. Love the cragar and Mickey Thompsons on it! That will look awesome on there. Looking forward to seeing it get back on the road.

You got to drive it in high school?? Wow. I had a '66 Dart 4-door see-dan in HS. I'm just a wee bit jealous. Welcome to the site. Very nice car. It's nice that you kept it all these years.

So happy to find this site!! I am currently trying to get the 65 Sport Fury my dad bought brand new back on road. I killed the engine in 1985, and it's been parked at the farm in the shop ever since.
Looking forward to the wealth of knowledge and experience from all the guys on this site.

Location: Colorado Springs
greetings.. since I was so short when I turned 16.. and I got my license. the 1965, 1966 fury was the only car I could drive and see over the dash. what engine did you blow up.. louie

The original 426...split the front of the block open from the crank journal to the cam journal. It started knocking, so I slowed down to about 25 mph and just before I could push the clutch in, it wedged a rod between the crank and cam! Man I was stupid when I was 18!

Nothing else you could have done. Can't be dumb if there are no choices.
