Introduction of bigbrother

It is an A12 Superbee CLONE, We are building it for ourselves, We have the side scoops, the big scoop hood only it will be on hinges,
the Oval Ramcharger Air Cleaner kind of looks like a six pack so we are using that, the Factory Air 1969 Coronet coupe Donor body was 318/auto, Now will be 440 4bbl with A833 with A/C. We could have never afforded a real A12 anyway.

Bees would mostly be 383 cars.
I know it's different everywhere but Detroit Craigslist is usually good for a 440 or 2 at any given moment.
Maybe....But I don't go to Detroit and this car was delivered to my house for the money.

Okay , i thought you would put a six-pack on it....

Is it an original 440 Bee?
No Sir, We are building an A12 1969 SuperBee Clone, B5, white tail, black or white interior. I looked for a "real"
SuperBee and could not find a decent body for decent dollars. My son saved his money for this project, Wife and I matched $$$$
and we found a rust free except pinholes on front floor and very lower quarters body 1969 Coronet HT 318 car, no vinyl roof.
We aren't rich, but this is a project for my son and I and we are making progress. We decided to build a clone of clones, optioning it as we would have wanted it.

Why would you want to part out the car before you see if there is someone that would like the whole car (minus motor of course). If I were in the market for a 69 300 coupe, I would even offer to send you a nice 440 out of a rusty but low mile New Yorker for example so I could have a numbers matching engine for the 69 300 coupe. It takes time and work to part out a car and often you won't make as much money as if you sold the whole car (even minus motor). And why don't you send some photos of your coupe so people can judge for themselves what shape the parts are in. It isn't that hard.
Like your Hurst , One for sale in Craigslist Missouri Right now for 15000, needs some work though

Car we are putting it in was a bench car anyway, we may or may not use depending on how much we have to
build to use it.
The Bee and the 300 have different floor pans and the tracks are configured differently.I.E. too tall in your Bee with no headroom.C body seats are naturally wider, too.
Had a guy who had E body buckets in his Charger.Sat too low barely see over the dash. His car is also a factory bench car.72 Charger Ralleye 340 with factory 4 speed. He always wondered why the shifter was in an odd position.
One of 289 built from the Windsor Plant.
I talked him into putting the bench back in.
There is an entire generation that do not know what a "bench" seat looks like.(not to mention how to shift a three on da tree)
Like the wagons, bench seats are hot...(no pun intendeed) LOL

Well that won't work for big guys like us, My son is 6'8" and a little taller than me. Love bench seats but this coronet did not come with a front seat so we bought some buckets from a 1969 coronet 500 with tracks, I was raised on slant six, 3 on the tree and learned to drive on them. When Dad bought a Newport with push button auto and a V8, my brother was driving age and we went out and did burnouts with it.

My 300 also have that (service? ) piece of paper next to the speedo meter......was that done by every dealer ?

It's not really an A12 clone without the six pack, AC and (gasp) hinges on the A12 hood! The B body crowd must be reeling at the Frankenstein monster you are creating! Ok, I'm just poking fun, since the B body purists seem to be more ravenous than us "old men with hats". You could have had a nice sleeper with a beefed up 440 in a stylish 300 coupe, which are becoming scarcer by the minute. Bee clones are every where it seems, just like Hemi Challenger convertible "tribute" cars. One of these days the clones will become the donors when all the "big girls" have gone to pasture. After all, they are just clones, right?

I agree, more clones as all the actual cars are stuck in private collections, over restored and trailer queens, never to see the road again. We are building it to drive, have fun with, power tour maybe, local car shows, reliving my youth a little bit....I love the c body cars, I am still kicking myself for not buying a 1970 fury gt a few years ago....I also saw an orange hi option 300 convertible on here. If only I had unlimited funds...I have 40 acres.!

All I want is for this car and parts from it not wasted. I appreciate every old car and know parts are at a premium when no longer produced. I DID NOT want it to go to Junk Yard or Demo Derby so here I am.....

Welcome and thank you. Father/son time working on a Mopar together, enjoy it all you can and do it however you see fit.
