brought the two front brake drums home to press out the bearing races and press in the new ones plus clean up the out side of the rust what would be best to clean up the inside of the drums steal wool? a fine grit sandpaper? don't want to mar up the surface that the shoes press against will post pics of what i am dealing with

I would use some sand paper. Steel wool you will be there forever, wire wheel you will end up polishing it, hand sand with 80 grit and it will be smooth enough.

A little late to the party but welcome. It's always very cool to see the progress. Nice car, keep an eye on the parts for sale in here and post in the wanted section also.

Interesting that it looks like it was a rental car when new.

Greeting all

I have a 66 plymouth fury III to restore 2dr hardtop c body

I am wondering about body parts quarter panel patches is there any other c bodies that will interchange other then the 65-66 models ones I found are rusted View attachment 77693 View attachment 77694

Welcome, Judy. Very neat car you have there. I think the only way you can go for body parts is to find a rust-free donor car. Nobody is making repro panels for our cars. . .

Contact Wildcat Auto Parts in Sandy, Or. for you FuryIII needs. They're on the web. If they can't help you try Moore's Auto Salvage in Rapid City, S.D....They're on the web too but Wildcats prices are easier to live with. Welcome to the party and G.L. With your build, Jer
