Howdy--
I fully understand the need for advertising to assist in supporting the operation of this forum. As a result, the "reading and posting" area has diminishsed over time. I can deal with that. I don't have an issue with ads that can be minimized with a click or two, either.
When the Mazda CX-50 ads crept up from the bottom of the screen, that was not a big deal as I figured it would soon go away. Like a minor inconvenience to posting and reading posts. But with it further grew to cover the whole posting/reading area and stayed there (as if I was supposed to read all of it), and no obvious way to click it down, then that became a large inconvenience to me. Eventually, it went away on its own. Next time it appeared, I paid more attention to any X or down arrows I might use. I didn't see any. Then it would repeat every so often. Very annoying and distracting.
I can understand Mazda being very proud of their new model and wanting to make many people aware of it, but to me, this is not the way to do it. They might get better viewing if they chose YouTube ad videos (which can be clicked out of after a few seconds) instead.
And now, that same ad and format has appeared on a Camaro forum I'm in.
Thanks for your time and consideration,
