Hey Guys, anybody know this HP Manifolds from a jensen interceptor?
Iam wondering if they fit in my 68 C body,i could get them dirt cheap.
For everybody who doesnt know:
Jensen is an english automanufacture which uses Chryslers B/RB big blocks with torqueflite transmission :)

The casting numbers will tell you if they were unique to the Jensen or off the shelf Mopar exhausts and what year-years. Then you should know which way to proceed. G.L. with it. BTW, Jensen had their own Idler pulley to tension the top side of the two A/C belts between the A/C and the Alternator. Mother finally got on board with that pulley when they dropped the 440 and went to the 400 if memory serves, Jer

That is a drivers side 440/400 72-78 truck manifold. Passenger side number? They might be worth picking up just to use/sell for a truck, especially for a big block swap for an 80's up truck.

Nick beat me to it.

Not 400 but 383 ; they also made a serie with sixpack option.
These were sold in 72-73 iiac …...jensen interceptor SP

Yeah, that truck manifold has a 1-78" outlet ID if memory serves.
It drops down pretty far so would need a fairly sharp curve to head rearward, which makes things worse for performance.
The 64-older full-size cars used one similar to that but with a shorter outlet, those are 2" outlet ID, I think.

My first impression was that the pictures manifold would have been from the later '50s or earlier '60s. But that center portion's length also tends to imply the Industrial origin, too.

Jensen might have bought their engines from Chrysler Industrial, but I suspect they were "special order" rather than garden variety "water well irrigation pump" engines. That they had the upgraded camshaft and a few other things allowed by their lower production numbers? Didn't Chrysler Industrial also do production runs of the 426HEMI motors, too? Pretty much a "production close-tolerance" engine?

Might make a good Christmas Party "Chrysler Parts ID" question?

It may not be so much that Jensen bought Industrial, but rather they needed center-dump manifolds, and these were the only ones that Chrysler had to offer them?

I googled the casting no and the guy's are correct about the motorhome and truck usage. They are even available as new repop castings. I don't think they will fit in your 68 though, I think the dump will be to far forward.

My hazy memories tells me that someone tried using the truck manifolds years ago and the exit basically sat right by the motor mounts, and hit??, and the head pipes would have had to have a super hard 90* to get hooked up...not good for flow. ;)
