He's from just up the Thruway in New Hartford, NY. When he was a kid, he played at a lot of the local bars. I never got to see him though... I wish I had now.

At a car show in Bakersfield in 2010 I won a raffle prize. When I collected they said, "Congratulations! You've won an electric guitar signed by Joe Bonamassa!" I said, "Who?" They said, "You don't know who JB is???" I said,
"Who is Dietrich Bonhoeffer?" They said, "Who?" I said, "Touché!"

I still have the guitar. I've tried to sell it on a number of occasions but no takers.
