Yea he sure as hell did. The guy before him paid $26K to acquire it from the estate. Bet he didn't even get a sloppy kiss afterwards.

It always escapes me why a car with a popular owner should make it that much more desirable. Condition and personal taste is about all that Counts. I'd rather take one from an anonymous first owner who lovingly cared all his life to go on in his Tradition than taking some banged up Basic Transportation from a Musical Genius.

That said I'd take it despite this Treatment just because of the good Overall condition due to being dryly garaged for a couple decades if I were in the market.
