I like the functionality that was likely why the original owner wanted them... the look is good either way... If you add scoops to that hood several of us will pooling resources to find you...I am going to try to keep it as original as is condition as I can. Except the mirrors, I just can't get passed them. What is your thoughts?

I think I'd leave them for awile. They may grow on you, and they have been there for the life of the car after all, part of the character and indicative of the era.
Fender mount may not have been my choice, but the relocating process is an intrusive one.
That's what I read 96 Hardtop's and 12 CovertablesWow , very nice!!!!!!!!!
Was looking for a long time for one , i think they only made 112 of these 4 speeds.
GREAT CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She's a beauty! A good portion of my collection are 65-66, they have super build quality and I love the body lines. As for the mirrors, I say drive the car for a while, then see how you feel about them. Your L has some nice options, even for a "muscle car"Those dual fours should get up and howl! Get out and cruise! That's what I read 96 Hardtop's and 12 Covertables
Well, Who Wouldn't?Congratulations. Beautiful car. A banker's muscle car. Would be really interesting to talk with the original owner and figure out his thinking behind wanting a full size car and 4 spd.
One word.....SWEEEETAH. I've got ah car-Bud in Ft. Worth with ah 4 spd. Drop Top 300L but that Black with that Red interior really hitz it out of the park. Bring it to Carlisle so we can all drool on it. BTW, those mirrorz are correct for the L
