14 yrs ago a buddy called me and asked me if wanted a dog he found. I was in the market for a dog so I went to looked. What I found was a knuckle head 6month old pit bull. Not only that but the knuckle head chewed both side of my buddy's breezeway door frame. Destroyed it!! He said"this fu$&rs just dumb". I say it was my buddy. 2 months of solid, daily training and he turned out to be the best dog I've ever owned. I could let my 3 yr old (at the time) hold his leash and he wouldn't take the slack outta the leash! Never chewed, messed in the house or destroyed anything in the house. Now I wouldn't want to be cat or a squrrel in his back yard, other that he was harmless. Not sure how many of you guys are dog guys those that are know it sucks. His last meal was 2 cheese burgers and a Reesie's blizzard . Had a short walk and then to the vet. His legs were giving out him. Just a shitty moment I thought I'd share.....RIP Bo

Losing a dog is a terrible thing there is a thread or two floating around here with some really sad stories its a bummer.

Almost as traumatic as losing a kid. You did have him for 14 years though. A nice long run. Rest in Peace!

He'll be missed. He spent the last 10 yrs with my mom getn fat and spoiled. When my wife and I moved in together mom got him. I didn't want her alone in Flint. She had been living with me helping with my daughter(single dad at the time) so when we moved I left Bo with her. A month later another buddy gave my mom a female put named Cali. They were hilarious together. Had to put her down a couple months ago .

Sorry for your loss! Dogs are more than just pets, and better than most beer buddies! I feel your pain... 3 times for me. Time heals all wounds. Thanks for rescuing him 14 years ago and giving him a great life!

My wife brought the kids over to my moms to say good bye. It was the "best" way (if there is one) to say goodbye. Here's a pic of the old man earn his blizzard. At his best health he was 80lbs. Naturally. One of my best friends has one of his and Cali's pups so I have a grandson lol. He too is a great dog.

Sorry to hear that man!! Same with Bo. I couldn't watch him suffer. Loved him to much to do that to him. My condolences to you !

I still miss mine every day. Sorry to hear may he rest in peace.

My condolences to you for your loss. It's not easy to loose such a faithful friend & companion.

Condolences man, I know exactly how ya feel. My choco lab Max is a big loveable goof, loves belly scratches, and loyal to the nth degree. He follows along behind me where ever I am in the house, all the time. Its 4 am and he's right here under my feet. He's getting up there in age for a dog but luckily he is still healthy.

My condolences! Losing a dog, to me, is like losing a human loved one, in many respects. I lost my little seven-year-old Papi-Chi named GiGi a little over a year ago in a horribly tragic accident. She was an amazing dog. I continue to mourn her loss.

That sucks, but it sounds like you had a great pal for a long part of your journey. Its always a sad moment. My thoughts are with you.
