Haha, no. But it was, at times, a dirty job. Only corporate job I ever had. Like creating laws & making sausage, what goes on behind the doors is not pleasant.

Talking of oldfashioned stores:
On Saturday they opened up the door of a closed for 30 years shoe shop in a small village a few miles from me. Owner is deceased, house is going up for sale. I should have brought the camera, but I might be back once more if I can get into contact for the 60s shelf System to put in my Basement.
Still many genuine 60s-mid 80s stock left. Two pairs of interest in my proper size for two bucks each. The black yellow Sneakers, manufactured in Germany, not just a German Headquarter selling Chinese products, from the early 70s are going in use tomorrow for pumping some iron together with my old gym bag that actually was in use at the Olympic games by a now deceased sport journalist.

There are always a few on the market in varying designs. While the fact is neat that it actually was used at the Event it was not an exclusive Version that was limited to Olympic games contestants. They are usually no more than in the mid to upper two Digit range. That bag has got to be worth some coins...

One of my jobs takes me into foreclosed/abandoned homes. I found this, intact and in good condition on a shelf in the garage. I was 9 on the day this cross-promotion began and I totally remember it. K-cars were a huge deal when they came out.
I also remember discount stores before they were better known as conduits for shipping crap from China and exploiting their workers. K-mart being Detroit-based was beloved locally. 46 locations! I doubt they have 46 stores left in the USA.
Sigh.
