Kidney Stone

This didn't go well...

Got me all ready and in the room. Couldn't find the stone on the fluoroscope, so they ended up kicking me loose.

To add insult to injury, they caught my IV tube on the door on the way out... At least I got them to stop before it did any damage.

Gotta see the doc again in two weeks for other "options" that don't sound like any fun.
Are you in pain?

Well, why are you dicking around with something that isn't effecting you? Jeezes, John... :realcrazy:
I'm asking that question myself.

My fear is that it's a ticking time bomb... That sumbitch breaks free, it's gonna be really bad. This looked like a good option, but now I don't know if the more intrusive procedures are worth the risk. The doc did tell me that I don't want to let it get too big.

There's only so many places that thing can hide between the kidney and the end of the plumbing pipe. If they can't find it, maybe it broke up and you got rid of it?? Or did they not look hard enough?

I'm sure it's still there, it's just hiding.

They called and set up a CT scan in a couple weeks to see exactly what's going on.

The last time they made me pee into a paint strainer for about a week and I drank literally gallons of water then on day 6........it passed.

Acupuncture works for really bad kidney stone pain. Chinese doc fixed me right up.

There's no pain, as long as it doesn't try to pass through my system. I've passed a couple stones before and while it's not on my list of favorite things, it's not that bad for me.

The issue is this one is 15mm which is just under 5/8". That one isn't passing.

I just read the side effects for flomax, no thank you

Sorry to hear about how things are not going well. Glad a Ct scan is scheduled.

I was diagnosed with a 15 mm kidney stone last week. I've had smaller ones but this one just isn't gonna fit through the plumbing.

So... They are scheduling a lithotripsy for me. This uses sound to bust the stone into small pieces that can be passed.

Anyone ever had this done? I'd love to hear if it works as well as they claim.
I have had this too many times

had the lipotripsy done 2x now

it’s going to be a few weeks before you feel totally better
Wishing you all the best in recovery

Thanks, but, go back a page... It didn't happen and we are gonna be looking at other options.

It actually reminded me of getting hit with rubber bands a million times but the drugs used makes you think that it hurts but don’t care.
This procedure does cause function loss to the kidney
