KIWI Road trip.

Im in no hurry to do it again.
we think the back spring broke went coming off the brigde.
i must say it made the road trip more fun with the farmly and to be alive.
lucky for me the truck drive sore what was going to happen and turn the truck to hit right behind the cab and the front of the trailer.
now it just a waiting game to see what the cop are going to do with charges or not.

Hi. Guys.
After our trip around the south island. one week later the north island have our casual get together. this is no show, just meet and talking (drinking, eating) for the weekend, it so casual you don't have to bring your Mopar, as some poeple who come are still working on there cars.
This year was one of the smallest meeting. most are around 25-30 cars.
Well as the Newport brakes need redoing. we load up the miss PT. and set off, rain most of the way they. IMG_0422.jpgIMG_0426.jpgIMG_0489.jpg

We normal stay at a hotel, But this year Colin aka THE COP (owns the cop car) had moved the get together to Turangi for the frist time. as it was cheaper and it was a camping ground with cabins. Also Colin said to bring $20 per person for food and he get it all sorted.
some poeple turned up on Friday night as Colin was going to be there. we didn't go until saturday as i had to work late friday.
Colin and team. had cooked meal for friday night, all 3 saturday meals and sunday morning. and noone went without. all done on a BBQ.
And what a BBQ it was.

The Cop Car. Colin hold us about the cop car a few years back. If i remember right the story goes:
The car was asigned to i cop that had only afew months to go befor retireing. He some how got to keep the car and put it away in a shed. years down the track a private collector (museum) got ahold of the car another few years and the collector need money or space and put the car up for sale. At this time colin was in the U.S. on a car shopping trip sore the car and payed what was asking and took it home. can't remember the mileage but i do know it was every low. had everything with the car hat, uniform, etc. the only thing that wasn't with the car was the shotgun.
Colin has had many guys form the U.S. trying to buy the car back. one guy almost got colin the sell with a blank check and told him to full it out. if he agreed he be on the next plane.

Here some photo of the Cop Car.
