These trucks were offered in 1957 and 58. They used 56 Dodge Suburban 1/4 panels.
This truck is a 57, much nicer looking then the 58, (IMHO), when the front sheet metal was changed

Both years could be ordered with a "hemi". A 354 Chrysler engine I believe. A auto trans with push button controls could also be ordered

Thank you sir... the hemi and a push button would just "up" the cool factor for me...

I really like the 5 window Pilot House but for me the 59 W300 Power Giant is the king of cool and toughness.

Your almost making me want a 4X4... that is sweet. If the 51 Matt posted at the beginning had windows, I would be pretty happy dropping a 6 back in and enjoying the machine as is. As much as I love pretty trucks... a part of me will always want to use them as trucks sooner or later.

If you're not using them, you're not enjoying them. :eek:ccasion14: As long as you fix it when it breaks, there's no reason to own any vehicle unless you plan on driving it. Classic trucks are meant to be shop trucks for classic car nuts.

Old Power Wagons will always have a place in my heart.
This 63 W200 Town Wagon was mine for 35 years. Bought in 74 and driven into ground, then parked in a field for several years.
I did a frame off restro on it, then was afraid to use it. I sold it to a truck collector somewhere in Pennsylvania about 10 years ago.

I think I may have seen this on one of the Power Wagon sites.

That is a beauty... there was a very raggedy one here in Orlando on CL for ever... I really wanted to go look at it, but I didn't dare. The time wasn't right for me to adopt ant new projects. Part of what I want from my Formal purchase will be something I don't have to get running.

I love the Dagmars on the GMC. A nice styling point, so to speak.

This is one of my '68 D100s. It's a 318 auto truck, lowered 3" front and rear. I've changed out the DODGE letters to FARGO.

Also pictured is my old '41 Plymouth PT125 that I sold a couple of years back.

Imagine if they were an 1980s styling feature... we might have called them "Dollys"

Patrick... I like the look you gave your "Fargo"... the older truck, what kind of head was that?

That makes my back hurt just looking at that.

:laughing4: Yeah, this is not a truck for road trips but you could order it with 4.88 gears and a V8. You could drive through brick walls if you wanted to...
