Local car show.

What's the story about the yellow lenses ?
Had them in Europe for fog lights until the early 60s, can't remember seeing any on cars in the US.

I put them in, think there pretty cool looking.

That's more like it! While I like all Mopars, the flood of A,B, E cars at any show/ cruise in has become frankly, boring. Row upon row of high impact colour muscle car clones that the owners think are "rare". The older I get the more annoyed I am with the feeling of "sameness" that all car shows have for me now.
I've taken to seeking out and counting all of the 4 drs and wagons that are at a show, just to shake things up. I recently attended a show with 1500 entries...15 4 drs and 4 wagons.

Cool Superbird. Nice show.
That looks like a great show. Lots of variations to enjoy.

I never did warm up to the Superbirds.... They looked great in race trim and while I appreciate the purpose for them I think that the street versions with a vinal top, rally type wheels and silly grafics they were just wierd. JMHO.

My pick of this lot of pictures are the 69 Super Bee, 63 421 Catalina and the wood paneled ranchero.

My favorites have always been '70's cars, with a dash of '50's-'60's iron. Mopar leading the way. Pontiac's being next, the rest
(other than a few models) are all just tied for last place. Some buddy's and I have often sat around the garage ''ratchet jawing'' about, If Ma Mopar never existed what kind of car guys would we be today? They all say Ford, me I would have gone Pontiac. How 'bout y'all, which direction would you guys have gone?

I*m an all kind of cars guy anyways, can't make up my mind. More GM than Ford models that catch my attention. But a very soft spot for the independents. Late prewar Packards, post war except the "pregnant elephants", 53 Studebaker, the cheap skate Scotsmen models, American Motors I could just go on and on.........
