Look but don't touch

I don't need much from this car, but I would like to save the dash if I can. Looks like I'll be heading back, stay tuned.
 
I'd pull the whole dash , frame and all bring it home and try the remedies that others posted

Pull the windshield if it's nice, or break it if it isn't, then pull the entire dash in a way that doesn't stress the pad. Then once you get it home soak it in vinyl restoration products.

You dont have to pull the windshield to make that happen..... a couple of bolts will do the trick.
 
Yep, the owner likes to use the cars for storage so the windshield stays.
 
There is other things there that should be saved if youre willing to bite the bullet on price.... Steering wheel has a cover on it which may have saved it from dirt and cracking. Perhaps other orange interior panels
 
make sure to take a 1/4" socket set with a swivel to get the bolts in the defroster.
