Look what I found

Ok here's how this came about. Gary told me to look for a better trunk lid. He felt the one on the 300 needed a lot of work to fix. So I contacted one of the local Demo Dreby guys to see if he had one & would sell it. He said no, but his cousin in New York had some 300's & might have one. Gave me his phone number. So I sent him a text msg asking about the trunk lid & told him that his cousin here in a Youngsville gave me his number. He replied that he did have one he thought was good. We got texting about 300's & C bodies in general & he mentioned the Sport Fury. He asked would I consider it as partial trade on my 300. I told him to send pics. And that's pretty much where it's at. He's supposed to send more pics & he mentioned a parts car that has a good trunk. We have not talked cash. The Fury is in New York but apparently he comes down often to pick up demo cars to take back to New York. It all started over a trunk lid. It's Gary's fault

So wait a minute, you beter be damn sure he he's not looking for a '66 300 to derby!:mob:

You'll get Gary back when he has to restore it, then he'll have the last laugh when he presents his bill.

Lol.

I was eyeing the 383HP 4spd for my challenger, also an original 383 4spd car with no drive train currently.

So just how many of these where made. I did a little reasearch last night & found that 3133 Sport Fury convertibles made in 67. I could not find the break down for 383/4 speed/red. I did find an old FCBO post where a member suggested about 40 on a similar car that was being discussed. I don't believe that one was red.

I'm sure Bob would be prepared to sell it to whomever wants to do a full restoration on that convertible.

Start looking for '67 Fury parts and check out the prices and you will get a whole new perspective on restoring this car. Yes, doors, hoods and fenders can be found but try and find quarter panels, tail lamps and some of the Sport Fury specific emblems. Very difficult. Find really good '67 Fury tail lamps is getting to be almost as hard as finding them for a '66 300.
