Not sure what to think....
For me the whole "Christine" thing is getting tiresome....
The reserve is probably well north of $100G's.....ouch
While I appreciate the skills/talent that Graveyard Carz is, it's still Graveyard Carz and the all the B.S. that goes with it....

Would be interesting to see how this turns out, and what the Forward Look or Christine Car club thinks of this.

Compared to a lot of other "builds" (weren't they built at the factory?), it at least LOOKS original, to a point..... I have seen lots worse.....

I last owned a TV in 1993, and only watch when at the gym or other people's homes. Haven't seen an episode of this, but from what I have seen (which isn't a lot), these other so-called car "restoration" shows are about anything BUT car restoration. Most of them seem to take fairly original, decent vintage cars, rip out a lot of their original components, and hot rod them into franken-cars with oversized motors, wheels, etc. The cars don't matter, it's about TV ratings. I try not to think of the number of original cars that are ruined in the process......…

Not sure what to think of this really. But one thing I do know for sure, those rear tires are not up to the task of 1,000 horsepower, so who can explain the point of that???

I rarely chime in to knock anyone's work, whether it's someone I know or as in this case, someone I don't know from Adam... my mother always said "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all"... and I try hard to live by that golden rule. That car for the most part looks really really great - simply gorgeous. However, one of my pet peeves about big dollar restorations (or restomods or whatever) is:

Line up the frickin' trim and make the doors line up nice. What is it with that? I can understand on a mid to low dollar resto (like my own cars which have been and will be far from perfect), but sheesh, when you're expecting to solicit offers near 6 figures, it better be visually perfect. Misaligned trim is a killer for me. Look at the rear edge of the driver's door and the trim on the quarter under the door handle. There's got to be a 1/4" difference in alignment there, both with the trim and the door edge to body, and I can see it in the other photos. WTF?!?

Just sayin'...

Wasn't there a white and gold 58-59 maybe even a 60 that was posted here. Sooo pretty but it had the exact same misalignment problem. Damn trim didn't line up. Same side as this one.... hmmmm

I just wish they'd stop with the Christine crap already.... never saw that movie.... never will. Just like E "Pull my Friggin' Finger" T! ain't happening!

I know - I've seen that on other Forward Look cars, so perhaps I'm being unkind... but it IS possible to line things up. Heck, even 66 Monacos had trouble lining up the tail lights on the passenger side from trunk lid to body from the factory. I've owned two - my green car had bad alignment, but my 440 4-speed which was a special order VERY early build car has perfect tail light alignment. Here's a couple of pics to show what I mean:

if you read the ebay listing you will find answers to the comments about trim
the car was at sema before it was finished, it was made clear.......
from the listing :

“Not completely finished at the time of auction. Work in the process.
It's important to note that this car is not done and ready to ship. There was a rush to have the car at SEMA, so we did what we had to do to get it there on time. Basically, that means we didn't have the time to QC and fit everything like we wanted, so we're doing that now. We do have to rework the bodywork on the left and right quarter due to filler cracking at the molding attaching points. Final assembly and delivery will be May 2020. The car can be inspected at any time and I would encourage you to do so."

if it was mine i would be happy with a 383 in it.......

I've watched the first couple episodes this season and he's admitted quality had gotten away from him and they show the 70 hemi Coronet vert coming back

And so has anything about the cars, this year is just drama. I think I'm done with the show, I'll watch what's on the DVR, but I'm not sure I'll keep the timer next year.

Thanks for that, I needed to drool.

What do I think?

SEMA crap...This car is another unfortunate example of the idea that the only way to "add value" to a car is do drop a catalogue crate motor in it.

If he still has the poly, then he should have built that.

Pass...

huh, I thought this was just me.

Yes, I still lurk here and there...

The car is now up to $110,095 with 64 bids and 2 days to go!

I'm surprised I haven't come across his eBay page before, maybe I had but JDGF, but now I was surprised to see Mr. Factory Correct only has a 98% feedback rating, lets see, oops a neg recent on selling one of his yard junkers it looks like, selling vs. buying feedback, seems he does more buying on this account than selling (that's a way to pump up your bad feedback) but oops he got 2 of his negs from buying!

In his feedback left for others it seems he's straying into the C-body world.
Also his + and comment on the yard junker roller was removed by eBay. ha ha...
