I don't know if I'm too late to help but I looked it up in my 73 FSM and it was in there. 54-60" from the center line of the front hub. Must be depending on the engine size or maybe 2 or 4 door. It doesn't specify any more than that.

We made it home after 16 hours of travel. My wife has given me full permission to take ownership of the "Boat" since she thinks its' the ugliest car she has ever seen! LOL!

But I'm not over thinking it now, just providing some safety info for others that may endeavour to do the same thin in the future!

And there's no harm in over-thinking this, the goal is to make sure you're safely towing your trailer. And it's not about how it'll handle when everything's fine, it's for how your combo will react in an emergency situation. So - job well done!
