Lots of Mopar info

Looks like the Allpar of old.
There is a reason for that. Mr. Zatz is running the new website. Personally, I liked the old Allpar.com, but "something happened" a while back, which probably is why the format seemed to change.

Bad thing about the service manual link is that it goes directly into the Mopar Service portal that has an access charge for non-dealer operatives. Fee-based.

Enjoy!

I remember an old mopar website, was it back 20-odd years ago now? I think it was run by Zatz, maybe it had "mopar" in the name? And it was replaced by the "allpar" name? I've often wondered what happened there.

Where I first heard of Dr. Zatz was in the old Usenet BBS bulletin board for Chrysler products. Rec.makers.Chrysler.(I don't recall the rest of the title, but it was the 2nd oldest BBS on the Usenet platform). He had the Chrysler Corp FAQ pages, which covered lots of things. This was back in the late 1990s when I was using webTV rather than a computer, at home. webTV was great for emails and bulletin boards. but the 97mhz processor got more overwhelmed with pictures with lots of black content. Videos left the screen blank as the little red light (indicating "downloading") just flashed its heart out, for days sometimes, it seemed.

I believe the FAQs transferred into the original Allpar website? Lots of good information in them!

In the 1990s, there was also a great Chry Corp-specific website at www.car-trucknews.com . That's where I saw the first renderings of what was to be the new Chrysler 300, the press kit photos for the Dodge Super8 concept, and information on a ZF automatic for the LH cars, which had an LHS nipping at the back bumper of a Cadillac STS with the 275 horsepower Northstar V-8 in it. LOTS of neat stuff, but just a bit too close to some Chrysler internal activities, so that website was closed. I got the impression that the proprietor of that website and Dr. Zatz were something of frienemies of sorts, FWIW.

Enjoy!
