G'Day Fellas,
Is it possible to Purchase Greasable Rear Suspension Bushes for a 69 Plymouth.
Also which is the Best Way to Lubricate Rear Leaf Springs.
Different Subject.
What do you Fellas use to Preserve Dash tops nowadays?
Found Armour All not Entirely suitable for this Purpose.
Many years ago I was taught to use Glycerine to restore Windscreen Rubbers,
Doesn't make them Swell up.
(Don't try Kero it will make them SWELL UP)
You need to keep gently massaging it into the Rubber until it is fully Softened.
Seem to remember using the Glycerine for the Dash tops as well but the Old Memory is somewhat Fuzzy.
Not Prepared to take a Risk, I've had a Few Crack after treatment Especially with AA.
TIA Tony.M

Durability issues with the normal rubber items? Just curious?

Some of the earlier polyurethane shackle/suspension bushings were known to squeak with time, so there was a special grease that was sold for that purpose. Seems like the later versions of the Del-A-Lum bushings came with grease fittings installed?

Off-road and racing suspension vendors might be a good place to look for these things, even brass/bronze greeasable bushings.

Remember ONE thing, there are places in the car body and suspension where "flex" is supposed to be so that such things don't get transfered to places that were not designed to handle such things, over the longer term. Making a rubber bushing firmer is an option, but not completely solid, by observation.

Just some thoughts,
