OK, the reason I am asking is because I saw the code "1" in the broadcast sheet of a 1970 Monaco even though that car's VIN and fender tag both show that it was built in Belvidere, IL (code "D"). My understanding was that the "1" is for Lynch Road while the "D" is for Belvidere.
--> I am sure that someone on this board will have the answer to this riddle.
To be clear, based on the sheet, one would have DH23?01xxxxxx as opposed to DH23?0Dxxxxxx ; everything else matches between sheet and tag.
PS: The same "1" plant code appears (instead of a "D") in the
broadcast sheet of a totaled 1970 Polara convertible that
@Furyman parted out (DL27 G0D 144?85 should be the VIN, whereas the sheet suggests DL27 G01 144?85).
